ERSKINE HOLT March 26, 1996 Home meeting @ Nix's Over the last 40 years the Lord has been revealing pieces of things to Erskine. Each
piece emphasizes something a little different, which he has taught on at various times.
These teachings are now coming together like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle to reveal the whole
picture. Scripture references: Colossians 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above,
where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 1 Tim 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest
in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles,
believed on in the world, received up into glory. Colossians 2:1 For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you and for them
at Laodicea and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh. Romans 16 (An admonition to unity and sound doctrine) Colossians reveals the head. Ephesians reveals the body. Philippians reveals the believer. John 17 shows the three levels of prayer by Christ for believers: - for salvation - to be made perfect - to be with Christ and behold his glory vs. 24: Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am;
that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me; for thou lovedst me before the
foundation of the world. Where is he? John 3:13 - And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down
from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. Jesus is in heaven, but also here on earth in us. We must know Jesus better. Jesus is the one who walked in the garden with Adam
and Eve; who spoke to Moses; who was with Enoch. No one has ever seen God. God is an
omnipresent spirit. Jesus is who we will see throughout eternity. The Holy Spirit is the love stream that flows between God and Jesus. We need to be
caught in that stream continually. Speaking or singing in tongues as often as possible is vital. This is for our
own edification -- to build ourselves up in the Lord. This will help us come to know Jesus
better. This will get us into that stream between God and Christ and move us into a love
relationship with him. The cry of our heart will then become that our only desire is to
know him. 1 Cor. 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. NOTE: Not two spirits in agreement; one spirit. No one can or has seen God, Jesus reveals Him: 1 Tim. 6:15-16 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate,
the King of kings, and Lord of lords; who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which
no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honor and
power everlasting. Amen. John 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the
bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. To understand God, we must know Christ. We must seek his face. Scripture references: Ephesians 3:8-11 Unto me, who am less than the lest of all saints, is this grace given,
that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; And to make all
men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath
been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ; to the intent that now unto the
principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold
wisdom of God. Romans 5:14 - Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. tied in with Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever. Revelation 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne Revelation 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto
his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his
angel unto his servant John Ephesians 4:9-10 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first
into the lower part of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far
above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) Revelation 22:1-4 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal,
proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and
on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of
fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing
of the nations. And there shell be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb
shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: and they shall see his face; and his
name shall be in their foreheads. Romans 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of
Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead,
that we should bring forth fruit unto God. Psalm 50 Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government
shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty
God, The everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. Revelation 1:4, 8 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is and which
was, and which is to come, the Almighty. 1 John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an
understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in
his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. Zechariah 6:12 And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying,
Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he
shall build the temple of the LORD 1 Corinthians 15:24 - the humanity of Christ as it relates to deity Isaiah 8:18 - This is what God really wants more than signs and wonders. We are to be signs to the world. Behold I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in
Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion. ERSKINE HOLT March 27, 1996 Christ Fellowship FULFILLMENT We have been caught in a snare of accepting proclamation as its fulfillment. We hope but do not believe when it comes to God. We need to believe God. He does not
lie. Numbers 23:19 Hebrews 6:6 (These two passages have the same meaning.) Matthew 5:17-18 - Christ came to fulfill, not destroy. If God says it will happen, it will. We MUST learn to hear the voice of God. In the end times there is a spiritual
deafness. We must get back to the simplicity of reading the Word. "That it might be fulfilled": New Testament: Fulfills Old Testament: Matthew 1:22 Isaiah 7 Matthew 2:15 Hosea 11:1 Matthew 4:14 Isaiah 9:1-2 Matthew 8:17 Isaiah 53:4 Matthew 12:17 Isaiah 42 Matthew 13:35 Psalm 78:2 Matthew 21:4 Zech. 9:9 Mark 15:28 Isaiah 53:12 Luke 4:21 Isaiah 61 John 12:38 Psalm 41:9 John 15:25 Psalm 35:19 John 19:34 Exodus 12:46, Numbers 9:12, Psalm 34:20 Sometimes fulfillment depends on us; sometimes we aren't necessary. Peter was crucified upside down to fulfill John 21:18-19. Col 1:24 - concerns us and fulfillment. Romans 8:4 - free from the law of sin and death II Thess. 1:11-12 Our relationship with the Lord makes our joy full. The Holy Spirit - God in His essence; God in His streams of love. An internal relationship with the Lord is a necessity. We are to take every
thought captive and merge our natural and spiritual lives. Christian living on Sunday and
in home meetings is not nearly enough. II Cor. 10:3-6 I Cor. 6:17 - We aren't to agree with God. We are to become one with Him. Romans 7:? John 17 - He wants to be seen now, not off in the future. James 1:22-25 - not hearers, but doers. A good message is nothing until it is
fulfilled. IT IS TIME FOR FULFILLMENT. Gal. 5:14 - All the law is fulfilled on one word - Love your neighbor as
yourself. Col. 4:17 - take heed to your ministry. It is our personal responsibility to
fulfill it. James 5:6+ - We don't know the possibilities that happen when we walk with God. Isaiah 44 - If we are careful to fulfill the word of God, he will confirm (honor) our word. Take care of Him; He takes care of us. |
